It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for his life of service that we honor the legacy of Deacon Jerry Glenn Warfield. Deacon Warfield was laid to rest on January 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire us all.
In January 2008, Deacon Warfield and his family joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. From the moment he stepped through our doors, he eagerly and enthusiastically served as a beacon for the Lord. His unwavering faith and commitment to the church and its mission touched the lives of countless members.
Deacon Warfield dedicated himself to serving others through various ministries. He worked closely with the Laymen Ministry, pouring his energy into mentoring youth and assisting needy families. His selfless efforts exemplified his heart for service and compassion for others.
Deacon Warfield faithfully served as Chairman of the Deacon Ministry. In this role, he led with humility, wisdom, and integrity, leaving a lasting impact on both the ministry and the congregation. His leadership guided us through times of growth and challenge, always pointing us back to God’s grace and provision.
Deacon Jerry Glenn Warfield will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His life serves as a powerful example of what it means to live for Christ and serve His people. As we remember and celebrate his life, let us also continue to honor his legacy by embodying the same spirit of faith, service, and love that he demonstrated so well.
